Cat Love's Efforts

I just finished reading the article "Cat lover's efforts couldn't save colony" published on 6/20/09.

First let me say, that I am an animal lover. I have also been a licensed Wild Life Rehabilitater for many years. I also know Mr. Merrick personally, an know how he cared for and loved those cats! So this blog may seem a little biased, but in all fairness, the guy who trapped 30 cats over a short period of time, was on a personal mission. Trapping one or two, that may have been a pest is one thing, but 30? Knowing all the time, where these cats were coming from, and knowing that Mr Merrick was caring for them. Again, this was completely PERSONAL!

City, State and Federal Govts can PASS all the LAWS they want, and do. This does NOT make it right! No one can control where a Cats goes, or doesn't go, and let's be real here, Cats can read and know the Law, but they are the ones who get punished. I think more investigation needs to go into this, on both the man who was trapping all these Cats, and into Mr Robert Wade, who accepted all these cats from the same person, without question!! I mean seriously, after several cats were brought to him, wouldn't you start to question, how come so many? What and why are you doing this?

Animal lovers in the area should ban together and push for more investigation into this issue, as the man doing all the trapping has some serious issues, first your Cat, then maybe your Kids? Who knows? Anyway, thats my opinion, and I would love to hear other's as well.
